Clearing the Clutter Before the Holidays? Don’t Forget the E-Waste!
Old gadgets, new purpose — Dublin’s e-waste recycling program makes it easy to clear the clutter responsibly before the holidays.
The season of gathering is just around the corner—which means you might be doing a little extra tidying before friends and family arrive. Maybe you’re decluttering the guest room, reorganizing the home office, or finally tackling that mysterious drawer full of long-retired tech.
But then it happens: you find the old iPad that hasn’t powered on since the kids were in middle school, the drawer full of cables that fit something, and the stack of outdated laptops you swore you’d “wipe and recycle someday.”
So what are you supposed to do with all that electronic clutter?
Dublin’s E-Waste Recycling Program Makes It Easy
Good news for central Ohio residents—you don’t have to live within Dublin city limits to take advantage of this convenient service. The City of Dublin’s e-waste recycling program accepts a wide range of items, from small gadgets to office equipment, at a location that’s easy to access and open during regular business hours.
📍 Drop-off location: Dublin Service Center, 6555 Shier-Rings Road
🕗 Hours: Monday–Friday, 8 a.m.–5 p.m.
Accepted items include:
AC adaptors, power cords, and cables
Cell phones, computers, laptops, and monitors
Keyboards, mice, and printers
Routers, scanners, and fax machines
Speakers, gaming devices, typewriters, and telephones
Coffee makers, microwaves, alarm clocks, and Christmas light strands
Ink and toner cartridges, calculators, and other small electronics
Essentially, if it plugs in, powers up, or used to—there’s a good chance Dublin can take it.
What Happens to Your E-Waste?
All items collected through the city’s program are disassembled to recover precious metals, and any remaining materials are destroyed. None of the items are repaired, reused, or resold—so you can declutter with peace of mind.
A Note About TVs and CRT Monitors
The Dublin Service Center cannot accept televisions or old-style CRT monitors, but those can be recycled for a small fee through:
