This is the perfect meal for a chilly winter’s evening. It was a favorite of mine growing up, and has been a staple in the Kenney kitchen for many years! The Canadian Living Cookbook suggests serving with pickled onion and fresh bread, but at the Kenney house, it’s usually just accompanied by a nice green salad. I have so many memories of our family gathered around the table, sharing stories of our days while filling our bellies with this simple family favorite. That’s why Shepherd’s Pie always makes me feel right at home.
